Organic hydroponics?

I have had a successful hydro garden for 5 years. I am now trying in some new trays organic hydro and like I see on your site it is challenging. I do want to continue to try it. I have a completely different set up from my regular hydro garden. Where can I find information on organic hydro?

Answer from Stella/Simon:
Hi Marsha,
Organic hydroponics involves the formation of a "living filter", such as you will see formed in the filter of an aquarium or small hobby pond. Now this works great for aquaculture and fish, however, it presents a special challenge for hydroponic gardening. Every time you need to change out the nutrient solution, you disrupt the living organic filter system that has formed. This is why we urge beginners especially not to try organic hydroponics.
Our early studies of hydroponics led us to believe the organic angle is unnecessary and far too challenging; thus, we have never tried it.
Not sure where to send you, simply Google "organic hydroponics" and go from there.
Good luck and hope this helps!
Stella
