New To Hydro Need Help On Lighting

Okay I'm Go Try To Be clear & Brief.. I'm New To This Decided To Make Jump.. Well My Setup Is almost Complete Few Minor Details Left But My Thing Is I Want To Grow 2 Pepper plants I Have Small Area Indoors To Do So 2ft x 4ft Area And Don't Know If The light I Have Will Be right I Have (2) 85watt CFL = 400watt - 5000K Natural Daylight.. I Know Everyone Rave About HID & Sodium Bulbs But Their Just To Expensive For My Taste I'm Looking To Keep Things Simple If possible So Any Advise Be appreciated Thank You

You should get Daylight and Evening 5000 or more use them together and get the biggest CFL you can find, Keep them as close as you can without touching the plants, you need to surround the plants in light three on top and three on the sides of each plant, it can be done, there are plans on line to make homeade reflectors from foil pans to go on your CFL's
