Looking for advice

I am a special education science teacher and I am looking fro a hydroponic system/design that they can build and maintain. We have a space in the classroom that is about 7x10, so I'm thinking soemthing vertical? I have never done this so it will be a learning experience for me as well. We are looking at growing spinach, I read that's the easiest? Can anyone offer me advice? I need a list of things we would need to purchase: growing agents, fertilizers, really a lost of everything we would need. I really appreciate any help or website recommendations.

I would not, use the easiest system a Flood Drain/ebb and flow This is something that can be built from very inexpensive materials and can have a big or small footprint and is less prone to failure so in my humble opinion its the simplest and best thing to learn also very forgiving if the power goes out.
