How Much Nutrients Should Plants Use?

by Mark
(Cincinnati)

I started with 30 gallons of nutrient solution two weeks ago
and have only used about 3 - 4 gallons in that time. I have
four tomato plants. Two in a 50/50 mix of coco and perlite,
and two with all clay balls. I had problems with the
coco/perlite clogging things.

I am feeding twice a day for 15 minutes. Should I feed
more often?

Does this sound like a normal rate? My 30 gallons would
last almost 20 weeks, or five months.

Thanks,

Mark
