How Much Light

by Phil
(Tobaccoville, NC)

Newbie here, how long do I keep the light on when starting seeds? Also, should I use a nutrient solution for them or just plain water.

Answer from Stella/Simon:

Hi Phil,

This page has a pretty thorough intro to seed-starting:
Hydroponic Seeds

I might also mention, you do not need lights on for the first 2-4 days, just when they start to peek out.

Hope this helps!

Light Time
by: Phil

OK, so from what I read. Once the seeds come up, I should have my light on for about 15 hours a day.
