flooding duration

how long should the flood tray be filled with water before the timer shuts off the pump and what should the water level be at for proper soaking of the cubes

Answer from Stella/Simon:

Hi there,
Not sure I can visualize what you are doing. The starter cubes don't go into a flood and drain tray, they are only used to start the seeds. Starter cubes would be washed away during a flood cycle.

When the plant is a few inches tall and have 4-6 leaves, you transplant to the big pots which sit on the table. Then you flood the pots for about 15 minutes 2-4x per day, depending on climate.
The solution normally covers 1/4-1/3rd the bottom of the pots.
Hope this helps!
