Baby Lettuce Too Soft. Any Suggestions?

by Tony
(Los Angeles, CA, USA)

I'm using a flood drain system with coco and hydroton. Roots are healthy, lumens are good, fans are running, and I'm using T5s about 3 feet from plant canopy. Room temp is 65*F, water temp is 55*F, pH is held between 6.1 - 6.3.

My baby kale and chard comes out very strong and crisp, but my lettuce is always very flimsy and I haven't been able to solve the problem. I've been growing hydroponically for over a decade, but this is my first year growing baby lettuce and I just can't seem to get it down. Any thoughts?
